The MLK Commission is proud to announce our new 2021 Vice Chair, Rabbi Jon Adland. Rabbi Adland is one of two rabbi emeritus at Temple Israel in Canton, OH. He was ordained in 1982 from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. He has served congregations in Lexington, KY and Indianapolis, IN before coming to Canton, OH in 2011. Rabbi Adland has served on the boards of United Way, Planned Parenthood, and Gleaner’s Food Bank. He has chaired the Race and Cultural Relations and Leadership Network in Indianapolis. His community service also extends to many volunteer hours with Habitat for Humanity. Rabbi Adland has always had a passion for Social Justice and Social Action. Rabbi Adland is proud to be a part of the Commission and we are honored to have him as our new Vice Chair. Rabbi Adland is married to Sandy. They have two grown children who are both married and are the proud grandparents of three boys. Welcome Rabbi Adland.
