Hector C. McDaniel, President of the Stark County NAACP will be an honored speaker at this year’s MLK Honors Series: Courage to Change – Professionally on April 2nd. McDaniel has been married 40 years to his wife Krisceda and has four sons, a host of grandchildren and great grand children. He is also a Veteran of the Armed Forces. McDaniels worked twenty years under the auspices of psychiatry in clinical counseling and separated in 2012. He is a doctoral candidate at North Central University, Scottsdale, Arizona. He serves as the pastor of Outreach and Mission for Union Baptist Church in Canton, OH. He has been a resident of Plain Township for twenty years. He currently holds the position of the newly elected President of the Stark County NAACP, having been a member for the past six years.
